Day 7: 100 days blogging- no summary, but some erring: mindful cheating?

Image
End of first week and month...I should have some summary, which may happen tomorrow. In other news, I erred/"cheated: a couple of hours ago. I opted to do it, then my mind went away, and I just did my business without thinking or focusing on what I was doing. I was sensing the taste but not focusing on it. Once I noticed that I was in a mindless 'fugue state' even as I was stuffing my mouth without paying attention, I paid attention. It was kind of like an out-of-body experience, until I consciously decided to be present. The I was, but it faded in and out, very subtly. Anyone have that? 3 Small Victories 1) Didn't eat the whole bag 2) Made progress in basement cleaning 3) Made a sparkrecipe 3 Blessings 1) My sister farthest away 2) My sister away 3) My other sister in town Goas: Finish basement, Celbrate Maslentiza, Code Member Comments About This Blog Post v 3VEGGIES I can relate. Day 5: 100 Day Blogging Challenge: Ending stronger

Image
January's almost done, and I usually suck at endings, partly because I often let things dwindle down, due to lack of persistence. I've never really thought about working on / focusing on them, but that might be a missing piece of my 'mental game' in both this pursuit of health and fitness, and also in other things in my life. I'm always about the new part of cycles, but the opposite side is letting things finish and be finished, because endings come anyway. Preparing for and honoring the process of a good strong ending may make more of them and make them better.Time has passed; are the results where I want (and need, for my health) to be? So far so good: I met my Jan goal of 10 pounds down (probably because I started consistently taking a higher dose of my thyroid, but any reason is good, lol) BUT this week I started stepping on the scale and was up. (serves me right for not following my plan!) Even if I do end up a little up on this weekend's 'official

Day 4: 100 Day Blogging Challenge; Long Cardio Day in the end

Image
When I've done well in the past, I had to work up to 2 hours or more of working out daily, at least some of the time, consistently. So far the longest in 2020 that I've worked out was 75 min, which was what was happening today: 3 Small victories: -15+15+25 min indoor cycling (at 4:00, 6:00, & 9:00 pm) -20 min cleaning -Then I decided to watch the Biggest Loser, on demand, & can't watch other people working out to lose weight without getting up, so I just did some marching in place, for 45 min. =around 200 calories, equal to 1 candy bar I've eaten in the past, now burned off. 3 Blessings: -being a woman in the 21st century and the much greater freedom I have than my foremothers, even my own mother, had -the internet, for connection -that I have the capacity and resources to make this commitment to myself work 3 Goals for Thurs -same as Wed (didn't get 'em done) Member Comments About This Blog Post v LIFECHANGZ  gr8! did you see a new Biggest loser start
