Blogday 23(-18)_100days: SUNny DayWeek & Summer 5%

The last of the tech 'difficulty' days...not all due to lack of power, like Friday, but for 1 reason or another...difficult to post in a timely manner. So, this one's only the next day. It was a pretty mellow day...woke up early (last few I have! which is NOT typical) & started with the 'talking heads' of Sunday, and got in some extras, and had coffee and a decadent cheese danish that I picked up the day before; a fave 'treat' breakfast, I haven't had one in AWHILE. But it was a limited treat, only 3 servings for 3 people. Then did some cleaning of shelf-stable previous shopping trips, planted some tomato starts, got dinner together (mostly an easy set of reheats, plus cleaning salad of mesclun and watercress, avocado and tomato), then Sunday night PBS Masterpiece stuff...watched something about Queen Anne, then started on Beechham House but got interupted, then went back to an old 'Call the Midwife' (hadn't watched the last 4, now last

Blogday 22(-19)_100days: Saturday $hopping

...so had tech difficulties all weekend, for one reason or another, and blogday 21 which I just posted was because we lost electrical power Friday night, which does NOT happen often, for more than a few minutes...         ...anyway, ended up opting to go out & do a supply run Saturday. Partly *because* of the storm, and because I was going out, I opted to stop by our farmer's market (very close!) for the first time this season. Got some sweet peas, mizuna mesclun salad mix, watercress, garlic scapes (almost more for their cool shapes so I stuck em in a vase), a kale bunch, some farm fresh eggs, a basil 4 pack to plant (cheaper than single tiny pots), a green onion bunch, 5 beets with their greens attached & maybe some other stuff I can't recall right now....was pleasantly surprised that it was happening, but not *too* crowded. Then I opted to go do some non-home/garden shopping...hit Best Buy to just see what PC's were available. THEN dropped BIG BUCKS at the sale

Blogday 21(-20)_100days: Storm...Friday

Multiple different days of problems posting here... Friday, was about to go down & watch Maddow but recorded it because our local channel's weather guy was doing a filibuster (his young assistant *did* get on to spell him for a bit) because there were massive wind & lightning in a fast moving storm, then BOOM, power went out. We *rarely* lose power as we are on the trunk line and main street for the 'come-lately' (newer) richest multi-million dollar homes in the county, just 'blocks' (kinda rural) away. Between us and them is the trailhead to access the water storage wetland, reservoir and forest hiking trails (where everyone hikes, including me, for decades when I've been in this state, though less so with SO MANY now having a stay-at-home schedule, so it's way more busy then it used to be). Anyway...boom, Turns out a neighbor's tree went down & blocked both lanes & took out the electric line. Luckily, I'm a canldle burner (I'v

On one of my teams...the team where I track & report my weekly weight, somewhat sporadically, but have usually checked in at least several times a month...this month one woman is doing some specific weekly challenges in the reporting thread: specifically Sprit, Body, Nutrition, with specific suggestions you can customize to make them your own Last week, week 3, the challenges, & my actions were: June Week 3-Sprit: 'take a day/some time for you, self-care, no food as rewards or used as self-care'... Well...I took more than a day off, lol. During the first week of June I had been VERY focused on sparkin' & food & exercise because I ended up doing a somewhat impromptu self-challenge I called 'netZero' (caloriesIn {food}=caloriesOut {workouts & activity}, for a Zero net change of calories daily so my autonomic processes of living that week would have to burn my fat for all their calories needs). I think this week's loss (or release, as one of m
