Blogday 14(-4)_100days: #NetZero-Not Just for Sustainabilty for Me This Week
Have worked up to a couple of hours of working out, and did so Sunday, by circumstance, and by design, eventually, Monday, when I realized I'd also winnowed down my calorie counts to reach #NetZero each day: the number of calories I was eating daily was less than or equal to the number calories I was expending, per my nutrition and fitness trackers. So that means, conceivably, that all the calories used by autonomic metabolic processes have to be burned purely from fat stores.
Right around when I realized this a sparkticle I had in my tabs had the link to a website (superfitdads.com) and in this blogpost:
superfitdads.com
/lose-20-pounds-of-fat-in-
30-days/
he breaks down the math:
"First off, 1 lb of body fat contains something like 3,500 Calories of energy.
OK, that number may not be 100% accurate but it’s a good rule of thumb.
So, losing 20 lbs of fat means we need to burn off 20 x 3,500 = 70,000 Calories."
Per: healthyeating.sf
gate.com/typical-calories-
burned-sedentary-lifestyle
-5270.html "Sedentary women generally burn 1,600 to 2,000 calories per day...Women older than age 50 burn about 1,600 calories each day";
...and I'm a little taller than average, and 'bigger boned' and also am slightly muscular than average (underneath my 'marbling' as butchers say about cow flesh) ((key reasons for men to have higher calorie burns: bigger and more muscle), so I'm gonna say I burn about 1750 daily, so hopefully I've just burned a pound Sunday & Monday, and if I keep it up this week then T&W will be another and Th, F, S will be another 1.5 pounds, so 3.5 pounds for the week. The difficulty is keeping calories low enough while still having enough energy (meaning lean protein is KEY...and extraneous carlories are very problematic). Also I know that blood sugar is an issue, but I've never had problems with it-I believe it's partly hereditary, and if my super mega sugarholic dad didn't have probs than I, who don't use added sugar anywhere (tho I *do* eat sweets) shouldn't.
Key to cutting calories is finding low cal substitutes, and one I've found recently (& about to eat for breakfast as I type this, saving me 50-100 cals., since this is only 5 cals/T) is

We'll see how my netZero week 'works out'. (ha!)
