Is FOMO part of my weight issue?

FOMO, Fear of Missing Out, maybe abandonment...clutter, lots of teams, wanting a taste or just more, jealousy, envy...

versus being satisfied, satiated...

...food for thought for me. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think that any time you make changes, there is a grieving process you need to go through.

One thing I find useful is to focus on the delicious things I CAN eat and not think too much about those other things. And then I make sure that as often as possible I'm not compromising and eating food that I don't really enjoy because "it's good for me". It has to be delicious first!

Good things to consider. What can you do now to best support yourself in accomplishing your goals?

Hmmmmm . . . we all have to set our boundaries and priorities. That's a good thing to do for ourselves. And realize that maybe it's not what OTHERS are doing, but THAT'S ALL RIGHT! They are not in YOUR body, your situation!

I definitely can relate to that. 34 years ago, I stopped drinking. And part of the difficulty was my sense that I would not have friends and would miss social events.
That turned out to be so very wrong.
First, most people don't really notice or care what others eat or drink. So it's really not that difficult to get around it.
Second, if you really think about it, if someone bases his or her opinion of you or friendship with you based on what you do or do not eat or drink, that might not be a friendship worth saving.
Admittedly, there are business circumstances that can be more complicated. But I think it's easy enough to plead "allergy" or "doctor's orders" and most people will drop it.

    Great subject for thought.

Interesting - I wonder if there's a way around that. Still participating, but in your own way, perhaps?
